This subdirectory contains Digital's Ethernet DOS ODI
driver, named DE305.COM. It supports NetWare 3.x, 4.x,
NetWare Lite and other ODI interface applications.

DE305.COM  :  MPX2 DOS/ODI Driver for NetWare 3.x and 4.x

To make installation easier when using 1Step with NetWare 4.0,
a copy of the DE305.COM file is included in the \NOVELL\DOSODI
subdirectory of your Driver Diskette.

Installation Procedure
----------------------
1. Run the following commands in the order given below,
   pressing <Enter> after every line:

   lsl
   de305
   ipxodi
   netx --------------> for users of NetWare 3.1x only.
			Running this program connects you
			to the NetWare 3.1x server.
			Replace with vlm for NetWare 4.x

2. Log into the network.
3. Map directories if necessary.
4. Edit the NET.CFG in the server if you need to
   change to another frame type, such when logging
   a workstation using NetWare 3.0x onto a server using
   NetWare 4.x.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
