		 Power Lan driver Installation
		 =============================


To install Digital's adapter with Power Lan system, user
can use 3 different methods as following:

      A) Install Power Lan driver with Digital's adapter

      B) Install Digital's DOS/ODI drivers for Power Lan

      C) Install Digital's Packet drivers for Power Lan


A) Install Power Lan Driver with Digital's adapter
   ===============================================

   To install Power Lan driver with Digital's adapter

   1.) Use Power Lan install program, and select "NE2000" item.

   2.) Change Iobase and IRQ setting by Digital's 1Step setup program
       and using the same port at NXNE2000 command line parameter:
       /lp:Iobase /li:IRQ

   Example  -----  PLSTART.BAT

B) Install Digital's DOS/ODI driver for Power Lan
   =============================================

   To install Digital's DOS/ODI driver at Power Lan system:

   1.) Copy Digital's DOS/ODI driver "DE305.COM" from A:\NETWARE\ODI\DOSODI
       to C:\PL\PROGRAMS

   2.) Copy Novell's driver "LSL.COM" from A:\NETWARE to C:\PL\PROGRAMS

   3.) Create NET.CFG file as following example at C:\PL\PROGRAMS

   4.) Use Power Lan install program, and select "ODI" item,
       then add "LSL.COM" and "DE305.COM" before NXODI.EXE
       at C:\PL\ADMIN\SYS\PLSTART.BAT's "start NETBIOS" section

C) Install Digital's Packet driver for Power Lan
   =============================================

   To install Digital packet driver at Power Lan system:

   1.) Copy Digital's packet driver "DE305.COM" from A:\PKTDRV to
       C:\PL\PROGRAMS

   2.) Use Power Lan install program, and select "NXPACKET" item,
       then add Digital's packet driver "DE305.COM" before NXPACKET.EXE
       at C:\PL\ADMIN\SYS\PLSTART.BAT's "start NETBIOS" section

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

• Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

• If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

• Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

• Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

• Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

• From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

• Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
