                               3Com Corporation
EtherDisk Diskette for the EtherLink/MC Adapters

The EtherDisk diskette provides you with the necessary software, utilities,
and documentation to use 3Com's EtherLink/MC adapters with various network
operating systems (NOSs). The diskette also includes the diagnostic
program and additional files containing user information. The adapter guide
packaged with the adapter gives important information on adapter
installation and use. It should be used together with the EtherDisk
  diskette.

Before you install the network drivers, make sure that you:

      - Install your adapter
      - Configure the computer (if applicable)
      - Run the diagnostic program
      - Connect to the network

To run the diagnostic program or update the network drivers, use the Menu
Program on the EtherDisk diskette. To access the program, type MENU at the
prompt. Refer to the adapter guide or the text files in this directory
  for more information.

This directory contains additional information about the EtherLink/MC
adapter family. The following files are included:

  Name Description

Unless otherwise indicated, the term "EtherLink/MC adapter" refers to both
the EtherLink/MC (3C523) and EtherLink/MC TP (3C523-TP) adapters. Either of
these adapters must be selected as an EtherLink/MC adapter in your setup
program (for example, Novell's WSGEN) during the installation procedure.
