* 1.  OVERVIEW
********************************************************************************
*
* A software premium content module (SPCM) for Intel Viiv technology using
* Windows* Media Digital Rights Managements (WM-DRM) ReadMe File is an Intel
* Viiv plug-in module that receives protected commercial entertainment content
* and outputs it to the home network protected by DTCP-IP. The content may be
* received by an Intel Viiv verified Digital Media Adapter (DMA) where it
* is decrypted and rendered for the consumer’s enjoyment. Within the SPCM,
* the content may be transcoded to format suitable for rendering by the
* DMA and it may also incorporate Intel(R) Smart Streaming Technology.
*
* The SPCM released with Intel Viiv v1.6 works with content protected by
* Microsoft’s Windows Media Digital Rights Management* (WM-DRM) software. It can
* make content protected on the Intel Viiv computer by WM-DRM available
* to Intel Viiv verified DMAs. It does no transcoding, so DMAs receiving
* content from it must support Windows Media formats.
*
********************************************************************************
* 2.  SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
********************************************************************************

1. The system must be an Intel Viiv technology-based PC
that contains one of the following Intel Chipsets:

	 Intel(R) 945G Express Chipset

	 Intel(R) 955X Express Chipset
	 Intel(R) 945GT/GM Express Chipset
         Intel(R) G/P965 Express Chipset

Please check with your system provider to determine the
operating system and Intel Chipset used in your system.

2. One of the following operating systems must be fully installed and

Privacy Policy Supplement for Intel(R) Viiv(TM) Technology
********************************************************************************

This is only a supplement to Intel's corporate Privacy Policy
(www.intel.com/sites/corporate/privacy.htm).

This section describes our privacy-related information handling practices for
the software premium content module (SPCM) for Intel Viiv technology
using Windows* Media* Digital Rights Management (WM-DRM). We encourage you to
review the information contained here to ensure that you understand how the
SPCM operates, to help you enjoy specific types of premium content with your
Intel Viiv technology-based Home Network. In addition to playing
premium content, your IIntel Viiv technology-based PC will also play
non-premium content, that does not require the SPCM certificate.

** This product includes software developed by the OpenSSL Project for use
in the OpenSSL Toolkit (http://www.openssl.org/)

********************************************************************************
How the SPCM works
********************************************************************************
After you accept the software license for Intel Viiv software, the
SPCM for Intel Viiv technology automatically collects the local network
address of your computer in an encrypted form. Collecting this information
will allow Intel to recognize your computer when you request an upgrade to
the premium content services on your Intel Viiv technology-based PC.
Information will also be collected to enable the individualization of WM-DRM
on your system, which will enable delivery of premium content. For more
information on WM-DRM individualization, refer to the Microsoft web site
(www.microsoft.com).

The encrypted information that is transmitted to Intel will not be used by
Intel to identify: (1) any individual or group of individuals personally;
(2) any information about your computer, except the encrypted version of
the local network address; (3) an unencrypted version of your computers
local network address; and/or (4) your computer on any network.

********************************************************************************
Collection of Information for the Certificate Restore Service
********************************************************************************
The information that is collected by or sent to Intel as described above
may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in
which Intel or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities.
Intel may only disclose this information if required to do so by law or
judicial due process.

If you decline the online delivery of an SPCM certificate, you will not be
able to play content that requires it. However, you will still be able to
access both non-premium and premium content that does not require the SPCM
certificate.

Intel will not retain your computer and certificate information longer than
is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as
required by applicable laws or regulations.

********************************************************************************

THIRD PARTY NOTICES.
Portions utilize Microsoft Windows Media Technologies.
Copyright (c) 1999-2004 Microsoft Corporation. All Rights Reserved.

Content providers are using the Microsoft digital rights management technology
for Windows Media ("WM-DRM") to protect the integrity of their content ("Secure
Content") so that their intellectual property, including copyright, in such
content is not misappropriated. Portions of this software and other third party
applications ("WM-DRM Software") use WM-DRM to transfer or play Secure Content.
If the WM-DRM Software's security has been compromised, owners of Secure Content
("Secure Content Owners") may request that Microsoft revoke the WM-DRM Software's
right to copy, display, transfer, and/or play Secure Content. Revocation does
not alter the WM-DRM Software's ability to play unprotected content. A list of
revoked WM-DRM Software is sent to your computer whenever you download a license
for Secure Content from the Internet. Microsoft may, in conjunction with such
license, also download revocation lists onto your computer on behalf of Secure
Content Owners. Secure Content Owners may also require you to upgrade some of
the WM-DRM components distributed with this software ("WM-DRM Upgrades") before
accessing their content. When you attempt to play such content, WM-DRM Software
built by Microsoft will notify you that a WM-DRM Upgrade is required and then ask
for your consent before the WM-DRM Upgrade is downloaded. WM-DRM Software used
by third parties may do the same. If you decline the upgrade, you will not be
able to access content that requires the WM-DRM Upgrade; however, you will still
be able to access unprotected content and Secure Content that does not require
the upgrade.
