Installation notes for updating your Montana INF file
1. Enter Win95 with Motorola Montana PC Card inserted into slot.
2. Select 'Start', 'Programs', and click on 'MS-DOS Prompt'.
3. Change to Win95 INF subdirectory (i.e. cd\windows\inf <enter>).
4. First, list OEM?.INF files (i.e. dir oem?.inf <enter>).
5. Edit each OEMx.INF file and locate the one specific to the Montana
PC Card.
6. Delete the OEMx.INF file that describes the Montana PC Card.
7. Exit MS-DOS Prompt.
8. Select 'Start', 'Settings', and 'Control Panel'.
9. Select the 'System Icon'
10. Click on the 'Device Manager' tab.
To remove Montana:
11. Expand the 'Modem' device.
12. Highlight 'Montana 28.8 Modem,14.4 Fax PC-Card' and click on 'Remove'.
15. After Win95 completes the removal process, re-insert your Montana
PC Card.
16. You will see a message from Win95 'Building new driver database'.
17. It will also prompt you for the Manufacturer's disk, provide it with the
path to the new Montana INF file.
18. Upon completion, you are now ready to use your Montana PC Card.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
