1 Overview
===========
USBFILTER.sys is a USB upper class filter driver for AMD SB700 chipsets. It
detects arrival and removal of USB 1.0/1.1 audio devices.
This driver supports Windows XP, 2003 and Vista. It supports both 32-bit and
64-bit OS.
2 Required Files
=================
To install the driver, the following files are required:
x86\USBFILTER.sys 32-bit USB upper class filter driver
amd64\USBFILTER.sys 64-bit USB upper class filter driver
USBFILTER.inf installation setup script
USBFILTER.cat digital signature (only if the driver is certified)
3 Installation/Uninstallation

To install the driver, right click on usbfilter.inf file and select install.
After the installation, the system needs to reboot.
To uninstall the driver, proceed as following
1) open registry, go to
HKLM\System\CCS\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}
and remove "usbfilter" from UpperFilter.
2) open registry, delete key HKLM\System\CCS\Services\usbfilter3) delete usbfilter.sys from \%system32%\drivers directory.
4) reboot
4 Troubleshooting
==================
If you should encounter any problems, uninstall the driver and reboot.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
