Freecom Cable CardBus Card Driver
=================================

To Reinstall or Update Driver
-----------------------------
1.  Go to System Properties.
2.  On the "Hardware" tab, click "Device Manager."
3.  Double-Click "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers."
4.  Double-Click "Freecom Cable II CardBus."
5.  On the "Freecom Cable II CardBus Properties" page, click the "Driver" tab.
6.  Click "Update Driver"
7.  The "Upgrade Device Driver Wizard" will prompt.  Click "Next" to continue.
8.  Please follow steps #3-7 on the "New Installation Instructions" below.
9.  Close the "Freedom Cable II CardBus Properties" and "Device Manager"
10.  Please reboot the system.


New Installation Instructions
-----------------------------
1.  Insert the Freecom Cable CardBus Card into the system.
2.  The system will prompt the "Found New Hardware Wizard."  Click "Next" to continue.
3.  Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device (Recommended)" and click "Next."
4.  On the next screen, Uncheck "Floppy disk drivers."  Place a check on "Specify a location."
5.  Enter in the location of the Freecom Cable CardBus Card driver, or the location of where the archive extracted.  (i.e. c:\freecom.tmp)
6.  Windows will search the specified location and will display the location of the driver.  If the prompt displays the correct location, click "Next" to continue.  Otherwise, click "Back" and attempt step 3 again.
7.  The system will copy files and prompt when the driver installation is complete.  Click "Finish."
8.  The system will now automatically find hardware (i.e. CD-ROM) and will configure your system.
9.  When all prompts close, your system will be ready for use.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
