Micron Millennia TransPort Flash Procedures


(1)  Insert a bootable PHLASH disk into floppy drive A.  This disk must
     contain the PHLASH.EXE, the PLATFORM.BIN and the BIOS.ROM files.

(2)  Turn system on and allow it to boot to the PHLASH disk.

(3)  At the A prompt (A:>), type PHLASH and press <Enter>.

(4)  After the new BIOS has successfully flashed onto the system, remove
     the PHLASH diskette from the A drive and press any key.

(5)  Upon reboot, press <F2> to enter the CMOS setup utility.

(6)  Once the system has entered the CMOS setup utility, press the left
     arrow key once to enter the Exit menu.

(7)  Press the Down Arrow key twice.  This will highlight the "Get Default
     Values" option.  At this time press <Enter> to load the default values.
     A "Default Values Have Been Loaded" Notice will appear, press <Enter>
     to continue.

(8)  Press the Right Arrow key once to enter the Main menu.

(9)  Press the Down Arrow key twice to highlight the "IDE Adapter 0 Master"
     option and press <Enter> to select this option.

(10) The "Autotype Fixed Disk: [Press Enter]" option will be highlighted.
     Press <Enter> to autotype the installed hard drive.

(11) Press the Down Arrow Key twice to highlight the "32Bit I/O: [Disabled]"
     option. Press the -(minus)  key to change this option to
     "32Bit I/O: [Enabled]" .

(12) Press <ESC> to escape back to the Main Menu and press the Right Arrow
     key 3 (three) times to enter the Power Menu.  With
     "Power Savings:  [Customize]" highlighted, press the  -(minus)  key to
     change this option to  "Power Savings:        [Off]"

(13) Press <ESC> to escape to the Exit menu.  The "Save Changes and Exit"
     option should be highlighted, if not press the Up or Down Arrow key
     until it is.  At this time, press <Enter> and a
     "Changes Have Been Saved." notice will appear.  Press <Enter> and the
     system will reboot with the correct BIOS and CMOS settings.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
