Synaptics TouchPad Driver Version 4.0 for Windows 95

The Synaptics TouchPad Driver Version 4.0 for Windows 95 is a
full-featured driver running under Windows 95. When you install the
driver (see below), a new tab, "TouchPad", on the Mouse Control Panel.
Features specific to the Synaptics TouchPad can be modified here.
Installing the Synaptics TouchPad Driver

1. Bring up the Mouse Properties control panel.
- From the Windows 95 Start Menu, go to "Settings", then
"Control Panel", then select "Mouse.
- From the Mouse Properties screen, click on the tab marked
"General"
2. Click on the option "Change".
3. Insert the Synaptics driver disk into driver A: and click on the
option "Have Disk".
4. Enter "A:\" to the "Copy manufacturer's files from:" selection
box, then click "OK".
5. Follow the instructions for the installation.
o To begin using your Synaptics TouchPad software, you must restart
your computer.
o To continue using your computer without restarting, choose
"cancel" when asked if you want to restart the computer. You will
not be able to use TouchPad Options until the next time you power
up your computer.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
