I. NetWare Driver Installation Instructions

This subdirectory contains the NETWARE V3.1 device driver for IDE Cache
Controllers: IDENV31.DSK
The following steps explains the installation procedures.

For Single Card Installation
ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ
STEP 1 ==> Install the IDE Cache Controller
        . Remove other add-on cards that may conflict with IDE card's ROM
          space or interrupt
        . Select this card as the primary controller
        . Select the ROM space of the IDE cache card
	. Enable floppy diskette
STEP 2 ==> Plug in other add-on cards if necessary
STEP 3 ==> At the NETWARE server prompt: ":" 
STEP 4 ==> Type:    load IDENV31

Setting up Duplexing 
ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ
STEP 1 ==> Follow the instructions in \README\README.IDE - "Installing 2
           Tekram Cache Controllers in a System"
STEP 2 ==> Plug in other add-on cards if necessary
STEP 4 ==> At the NETWARE server prompt: ":" 
STEP 5 ==> Type:    load IDENV31     (for primary)
STEP 6 ==> Type:    load IDENV31     (for secondary)

This subdirectory contains the NETWARE V3.11, V3.12 and SFT-III device driver
for IDE cache controllers: IDENV31X.DSK. The installation procedure is the
same as V31, except the driver loaded here is IDENV31X.DSK.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
