Readme.txt Driver File Contents (R94.zip)

Update sequence:
BIOS => BMC => FRUSDR   (Unplug AC, wait for all LED off.  Plug in AC to reset)

Procedures to update with BIOS R94:
1. Unzip "R520R94.zip" to a DOS bootable USB Flash drive.
2. Verify that BIOS Bank Select Jumper is set to Normal mode (2-3).
3. Power system on and boot to USB Flash Drive
4. Run "ACERBIOS.bat"
5. Run "ACERSLP.bat"
6. Once the update completes, reboot the system.
7. Enter Setup by pressing the F2 key during boot up.  Once in Setup, 
    press the F9 to set the parameters back to default values. Press
    F10 to save and exit.

Procedures to update with FRU/SDR firmware R47:
1. Unzip "FRUSDR47.zip" to a floppy diskette.
2. Boot to DOS
3. Update command is already written in "Autoexec.bat" so flash will start automatically..
4. Follow the prompts and answered the required questions.
5. Once completed, remove the floppy disk and reboot the system.

Procedures to update with BMC f/w R64:
1. Unzip "BMCR64.zip" to a DOS bootable USB handy drive.
2. Turn on system and boot to DOS environment
3. Run "BMC64.bat"
4. Follow the instruction on scrren until update is done.
5. Unplug AC, wait for all LED off
6. Plug in AC in order to reset BMC.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
