SOP to update Altos R700 firmware

Model : Altos R700
Purpose: This SOP guide you how to update system firmware like BMC, HSC, FRUSDR, BIOS, Acer Logo and SMBIOS information.   
Please update the system firmware with following sequency.

---------------------------------------------------------
1. Clear CMOS
2. Update BMC : Disk1
3. Update FRUSDR : Disk2
4. Update BIOS : Disk3
5. Update HSC : disk 4

Clear CMOS
1. Find jumper J1D4 on the M/B
2. Remove Power Cord
3. Place a jumper to short pin 2 and Pin 3
4. Power on server and press 4 seconds to power down server.
5. CMOS is cleared.  Restore the jumper.

Update BMC 19 v1.3 Bulid 14
1. Boot from BMC bootable diskette.  
2. a:\>Autoexec.bat will be automatically executed
3. Then, flash BMC process will be automatically done and prompt below desciption during processing.
   SE7500WV2 BMC 19 firmware update

	....
	Uploading OP Code 0000.......
	
	Please wait while existing firware transfer mode.

	Firwmare Update has complete!
	Please update system with the latest FRU/SDR package.

4. When the firmware update is completed, please run "a:>servid.exe" to check the BMC version is the same as what you have flahsed.

Update FRUSDR v5.0.9
1. Boot from FRUSDR bootable diskette
2. a:\>Autoexec.bat will be automatically executed
	
	Updating the FRU and sensor Data records
	FRU & SDR Load Utility Version 5.0

3. When the firmware update is completed, reboot the system with current diskette.
4. Run rom pure DOS and run a:\>R700_DMI_V.bat to confirm the SMBIOS information is updated as below.
	System Information -
		Manufacturer : Acer Incorporated.
		Product Name : Altos R700
	Board Information - 
		Manufacturer : Intel
		Product Name : SE7500WV2S

5. When the firmware update is completed, please run "a:>servid.exe" to check the BMC version is the same as what you have flahsed.

Update BIOS production P05 - 0501

1. Boot from pure DOS
2. a:\>Autoexec.bat will be automatically executed
3. Power down server when the process is done.   
4. Clear CMOS.
4. Reboot system to BIOS Setup.  Press F9 to load default.
5. Double check the BIOS Boot Logo is "Acer" image now.

Clear CMOS
1. Find jumper J1D4 on the M/B
2. Remote Power Core
3. Short pin 10 and Pin11
4. Power on server and press 4 seconds to power down server.

Query the system for current BIOS and firmware revisions
1. run a:\>servid.exe at pure dos mode for checking current firmware version on the system.

Update Acer Logo
1. Boot from pure DOS
2. Run a:\acerlogo.bat
3. When the process is done, reboot system and check the logo is changed to Acer.

Update 2U SE7500WV2 HSC v0.5
1. Boot from pure DOS
2. Run a:\HSCUPDAT.BAT
3. FINISHED

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
