In Windows ME, 2000 or XP, the network device can play well 
by using the Built-in driver.

You also can install the last driver for Windows ME, 2000, XP 
by clicking the setup menu item.

If you use Windows 98, you can install the network device 
driver as the following steps:

1.Install in Control Panel 
  <0> Press the button as the steps
	-> "System" 
	-> "Device Manager" 
	-> "Other devices"
	-> "PCI Ethernet Controller" 	<Double click>
		(if the item does not appear,
		 press "Refresh" and continue to step <1>)
	-> "Reinstall Driver"
      and continue to step <1>

2.Install when bootup in Hardware Wizard which showing:
  searches for new driver for: PCI Ethernet Controller

  <1> Press "Next" to
		Search for the .. [Recommended]

  <2> Press "Next" to
		Specify a location

  <3> Press "Browse.." to
		<CDROM>:\Driver\Lan\Winbond\RTL8139\Lan_inf\Win98

  <4> Press "Next" to
		(Install driver, and may need to assign the 
		 Win98 CD location)
  <5> Press "Finish" to

		Reboot

Driver Location <CDROM>:\Driver\Lan\Realtek\RTL8139\Lan_inf\WINNT4\

To install the Lan driver for use with Windows NT 4.0, 
please do the following:

1.  Double click the Network icon in the Control Panel.

2.  Select the "Adapter" tab and click "Add..."

3.  Select Have Disk. Insert this CDROM and specify the correct path at

    <CDROM>:\Driver\Lan\Realtek\RTL8139\Lan_inf\WINNT4\.

4.  Select one of the following models:

    "Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter Driver"

    then click OK.

5.  In the dialog box that appears, select the Media Type and enter the
    Network address for the adapter if necessary(You can click Help for more
    detailed information about these settings).
    Click OK to complete this dialog box (or Cancel to terminate the
    configuration without completing it).

6.  Exit the Network control panel window. Windows NT asks if you wish to
    reboot. You must reboot before the adapter will function properly.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
