This README file explains how to install the Marvell CPA Installer on a machine running Windows XP x64 Edition and Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition.. NOTE: CPA can only be used with Windows XP x64 Edition and Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition. . 2 Required Files ================= To install the Marvell CPA, the following file is required: SetupCPAwin.exe 3 Installation Instructions ============================ NOTE: To install the Marvell CPA make sure that you are logged in as a user with administrative rights. To install the CPA, proceed as follows: 1. Execute the setup file SetupCPAwin.exe . 2. Follow the instructions of the installation procedure. *** 4 Limitations ============== This package has the following limitations concerning VLAN/TEAM adapters. Adding a vlan adapter to a team is not supported in this version. The EC adapters from the families 8050 and 8035 are restricted to any TEAM/VLAN operation. VLAN specific limitations : 1. The adapters from 8052 family support on each port maximum 4 VLAN IDs. 2. The adapters from 8053 family support on each port maximum 4 VLAN IDs. Team limitations : 1. Maximum 2 ports of the 8052 and 8053 adapter families can be teammed together. 2. In a team are not allowed 2 ports of the 8053 adapter family . *** 5 Troubleshooting ================== If you should encounter any problems with your Marvell CPA Installer, please re-read the instructions above and the documentation supplied with the operating system carefully. If your particular problem is not listed or the error persists, please send your system event log file or at least the event id number and the logging data (as WORDs) of the entries made by CPA to our technical support. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
