	= 1	BOARD AND SOFTWARE INSTLLATION =

	1.1	Windows NT

	Under Windows NT the board don’t need installation files (inf). 
	You have just to put the board in a PCI Slot from the computer.
	Remark: Be shure that the board will have a free interruption number. Shraing interrupt is not supported by the RTX 	driver.

	1.2	Windows XP / Windows 2000
	
	Before to put the board into the PC. Once RTX ist installed, replace the RtxPnp.Inf file located in C:\WINNT\inf with 	the new one that is provided by ADDI-DATA.
	Put the board in a PCI Slot from the computer, and start it. Windows will found the board and will use the RTX inf 	file to install it.
	
	1.2	Software Installation
	
	The RTX SDK (up to 5.1.1) has to be installed on the computer where the RTX driver will be used. 
	The ADDICOM driver and sample (Addicom.rtss and Demo.rtss) can be copied anywhere on the computer.

	1.3	Using the driver and sample
	
	In order to use the sample, you have to start the driver at first by lauching (double mouse click) addicom.rtss. Then 	you can use the sample (Demo.rtss) or any other application that uses the addicom driver.
	Remark: When you want to unload the addicom driver, please use the RTX Task Manager.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
