This is the AMD Windows(R) XP AES driver for systems based on the AMD Geode(TM) 
LX processor and CS5535 companion device. It supports Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 
XP Professional with Service Pack 2.

This product includes:

- GX3AES.sys		AES driver
- ReleaseNotes.txt	This file

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Windows XP:

Installing the driver:
1.  Copy GX3AES.inf and GX3AES.sys to a floppy disk.
2.  On the target LX processor computer running Windows XP, open the Device Manager.
3.  Find the question mark next to "Entertainment Encryption/Decryption Device" in
    Other Devices.
4.  Right click the question mark and select "Update Driver."
5.  Select "Install from a list or specific location" and click Next.
6.  Select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install." Click Next.
7.  Select "Show All Devices" and wait. Then click "Have Disk."
8.  Select the drive letter for your floppy drive and click OK.
9.  You will see "Geode GX3 AES Crypto Driver." Click Next.
10. Click Yes at the warning dialog box that follows.

Reinstalling the driver:
1.  Copy GX3AES.inf and GX3AES.sys to a floppy disk.
2.  On the target LX processor computer running Windows XP, open the Device Manager.
3.  Find the "Geode GX3 AES Crypto Driver" in the "Crypto Devices" category.
4.  Right click the device and select "Update Driver."
5.  Select "Install from a list or specific location" and click Next.
6.  Select "Don't search, I will choose the driver to install." Click Next.
7.  Click "Have Disk."
8.  Select the drive letter for your floppy drive and click OK.
9.  You will see "Geode GX3 AES Crypto Driver." Click Next.
10. Click Yes at the warning dialog box that follows.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
