INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove any previously installed Zoom PCI modem drivers:
a.) From the Start menu, open Control Panel and double-click on the Add or Remove Programs icon.
b.) Select V92 PCI Voice Faxmodem and click Remove.
c.) When the uninstallation is complete, click Finish.
d.) If the Phone and Modem Options control panel appears, select V92 PCI Voice Faxmodem and click Remove. Otherwise, click Cancel.
2. If you have not already done so, shut down and turn off your computer and physically install the PCI modem card. Please refer to the PCI Modem Quick Start or User's Guide (located on your V.92 Modem CD or at http://www.zoom.com/techsupport/dial_up/303xEF.shtml) for hardware installation instructions.
3. Restart your computer.
4. If the Found New Hardware wizard appears, click Cancel. (Note: It is not necessary to insert an installation CD or disk.)
5. Open the WinXP64 folder, which is inside the Zoom_V92PCISoft_Setup64 folder, and double-click on the Setup64 application icon.
6. After the Device Driver Installation Wizard initializes, click OK to continue the installation.
7. When the installation is complete, click OK.
8. To confirm that the installation was successful:
a.) From the Start menu, open Control Panel and double-click on Printers and Other Hardware and then on Phone and Modem Options.
b.) Click the Modems tab, under Phone and Modem Options.
c.) Select the Zoom modem (PCI Soft Voice SoftRing Modem with SmartSP) and click the Properties button and then the Diagnostics tab.
d.) Click the Query Modem button.
e.) You should see a list of Commands and Responses. Scroll down to ATI3 and check that the response includes 7.60.00.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zoom V.92 PCI Softmodem.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
