This document explains how to install SAS IR SNMP Agent and to configure SNMP Agent in Windows.

#Run setup.exe

# If SNMP servive is not running, then Start the command prompt, there type
 net start snmp 
If you get already started error, then

 net stop snmp
 net start snmp

Now use SNMP Manager to retrieve the SAS IR data (It is assumed that you have compiled LSI-MegaRAID_Sas_IR.mib file already). 
Use Trap utility to get the traps.
LSI-MegaRAID_Sas_IR.mib will be copied to windows directory by Installer.

Installing SNMP Agent for Windows 2000
--------------------------------------
Select Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel.
Select "Add/Remove Windows components" in the left side of the "Add/Remove Programs" window.
Select "Management and Monitoring Tools".
Click Next.

Now you will be prompted to insert Windows 2000 CD and SNMP will be installed.


Configuring SNMP Agent in Server side

Select "Administrative Tools" from Control Panel
Select Services from "Administrative Tools" window.
Select SNMP Service in the "Services" window.
Open SNMP Service.
Goto "Security" tab and make sure that "Accept SNMP Packets from any host" is selected.
Goto "Traps" tab and the list of host IPs to which you want the traps to be sent with community name.
