1.1 Overview about this code
This code eliminates an Unknown Device seen in the
Windows Device Manager on systems with the Alert
Standard Format table in the BIOS. This INF does
not install any device drivers. Performance of
the machine will not be affected.

3.0 Installation

Method 1:
1) Copy the ASF.INF file to a floppy disk or hard drive.
2) Find the file in Window's Explorer, right-click on
and choose Install.
3) Open the Windows Device Manager
4) Select the Unknown device, right-click and
select update driver
5) Have it automatically scan for a new driver. It should
find the update and install.
Method 2:
1) Copy the ASF.INF file to a floppy disk or hard drive.
2) Open the Windows Device Manager
3) Select the Unknown device, right-click and
select update driver
4) Select "Install from a specific location", select the
location where the ASF.INF file is located.
5) It should accept the file and install.

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
