To successfully install the new firmware and driver,Please following the following steps.

Step 1 Uninstall:
   
     1.Please unplug wireless LAN USB dongle from your PC or Notebook.
     2.Use cursor to start->Program->Wireless LAN Utilities->WLAN USB Dongle->Unistall Configuration & Monitor Utility.
     3.Execute the "Uninstall Configuration & Monitor Utility".
     4.Please reboot your computer.
     5.Make sure both internal.com and external.com have been removed from Windows folder.You can use"find"function in windows search for above-mentioned files.

Step 2 Install:
    
     1.Execute the setup.exe.
     2.Select the "Application and USB driver"from the message box.
     3.follow the installation steps.
     4.Reboot your computer,then plug in your Wireless USB dongle.

Step 3 Verify:
  
     When an icon appears on the right lower corner,it means the software has been updated successfully.Please click the icon twice and check the software version information as below.

      Driver     :1.2.2.58
      Firmware   :0.90.0.36
      Application:3.1.4.6

Troubleshooting:

       1.Question:After updated driver,however, why would the version have not changed ?
         Answer:Make sure both internal.rom and external.rom have been removed from Windows folder.You can use "file"function in windows search for above-mentioned files,and than go back to step1.
       2.Question:After completing the installation, however,why would it not be able to use Wireless LAN USB Dongle.
         Answer:Please Plug USB Dongle into USB port on computer form factor,then following "control panel->device managemane" If there are ATMEL USB FastVNET (A) in your device, Please remove it. Then go back to step 1.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
