     MITSUMI Bluetooth Suite Release Note for version 1.0.8.EN01

1.Installation Notes

  1-1). For Windows 98 environments, it is necessary to ensure that DCOM for Windows 98 Version 1.3         or later is installed on your PC prior to running the Mitsumi Bluetooth Suite install. This         DCOM driver is included Setup CD orcan be downloaded from the http://www.microsoft.com web          site.
  1-2). If Mitsumi Bluetooth Suite was already installed, the following Uninstallation procedure            should be followed prior to installing the new version or the same version. 
        

2.Uninstallation

  2-1). Windows98SE/WindowsME
        1.Verify Mitsumi Bluetooth Adaptor is plugged in. From Control Panel, select System and then          the Device Manager tab. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. Select Mitsumi Bluetooth           Adaptor and click Remove. When prompted if you are sure you want to remove this device, 
          click OK.
        2.From Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs. Select Mitsumi Bluetooth Suite 1.0.8.EN01           and click Remove.
        3.Run cleanup98.bat  from the setup CD to delete SYS, INF, and PNF files. Note: If your inst          allation is not on default C drive, edit the cleanup98.bat file accordingly save it to a            temporary folder and run the new batch file. 
        4.Reboot your PC

  2-2).Windows2000/WindowsXP
        1.Verify Mitsumi Bluetooth Adaptor is plugged in. From Control Panel, select System, the              Hardware tab, and then the Device Manager button. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.          Select Mitsumi Bluetooth Adaptor and click Remove. When prompted if you are sure you want           to remove this device, click OK.
        2.From Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs. Select Mitsumi Bluetooth Suite 1.0.8.EN01           and click Remove.
        3.Run cleanup2k.bat from the setup CD to delete SYS, INF, and PNF files. Note: If your                installation is not on default C drive, edit the cleanup2k.bat file accordingly save it to          a temporary folder and run the new batch file.
        4.Reboot your PC.

3.Changes and updates from Version 1.0.6.EN1 to 1.0.8.EN01

  3-1).Support for WindowsXP
  3-2).The serial COM ports associated with BT are assigned at the time the Mitsumi Bluetooth              software Suite is installed and remain statically assigned whether or not the BT USB 	       Adaptor is Plug and Played.  Previously, these COM ports were assigned or removed when 	the        BT USB Adaptor Plug and Play (PnP) events occurred.
  3-3).Added bonding status to Device information.
  3-4).Add remove command of bonding.
  3-5).Profiles/Services are not available without binding the driver or application to COM Ports.
  3-6).The Bluetooth virtual COM Ports functionality is changed as follows:
       (Windows98SE/WindowsME)
       1.Bluetooth Serial     ---> Can be both Serial Host and Serial Client.
       2.Bluetooth DUN Host   ---> DUN Host only
       3.Bluetooth DUN Client ---> DUN Client only
       4.Bluetooth LAN Host   ---> LAN Host only
       5.Bluetooth LAN Client ---> LAN Client only
       6.Bluetooth FAX Client ---> FAX Client only

       (Windows2000/WindowsXP)
       1.Bluetooth Serial  ---> Can be both Serial Host and Serial Client.
       2.Bluetooth DUN     ---> DUN Client only.
       3.Bluetooth LAN     ---> Can be both LAN Host and LAN Client.
       4.Bluetooth FAX     ---> FAX Client only.
  3-7).Added remote device status as follows:
       InRange device:   Icons with Green dot
       connected device: Icons with Red dot
       Default device:   Icons with Blue dot
  3-8).Previous discovered devices information is stored in registory.
  3-9).Added “ Discover Devices on Startup “ option and made it as the default setting. 
  3-10).Add default device function(always use same connection)
  3-11).Removed Find device function.
  3-12).Remove File Transfer function.
  3-13).Remove Chat function.

4.Known issues or limitations for this release.

  4-1).Even after exiting Mitsumi Bluetooth Suite application, USB Adaptor remains in scan mode. But       this problem does not effect to generic usage.
  4-2).In the case of using file transfer function of HyperTerminal using Bluetooth Serial Client 
       COM port, the file transfer often stops. We recommend not to use HyperTerminal, instead you 
       can use "TeraTermPro" which is free software as substitute application.
  4-3).If infrared is on the PC, IR must be running during the installation or else COM4 will appear       as an available port and most likely the FAX Modem driver will be installed at COM4, but will       not work.
  4-4).Peer-to-Peer LAN Connections between a Windows 2000 machine (as LAN Client) to a Windows 98         machine (as LAN host).  This is a limitation with Direct Cable Connect and will never be 
       supported
