		Qlogic QLA12160 Miniport Driver for Windows .NET/XP/2000
				Release Notes

Version 7.20.1		05/28/02
    * This transitional driver package is used one time when the SVID for the 12160
      embedded controller chip on the motherboard is updated from Qlogic's to OEM's
      in conformance to the MS PC System Requirement.  Below is the recommended
      procedure:

      1.  Update the existing 12160 driver package first using the 12160 Transitional
          driver package supplied by QLogic
      2.  Reboot the operating system
      3.  Shutdown the operating system and follow the OEM’s instruction to change the
          SVID of the embedded 12160 controller
      4.  Boot the operating system
      5.  Update the 12160 Transitional driver with the officially designated 12160 driver
          package supplied by the QLogic
