RELEASE NOTES FOR IFLASH64 VERSION 1.01 A. CHANGES SINCE THE PREVIOUS VERSION 1.0 1. Removed progress bar in progress window when updating/verifying a single Flash area. 2. When BIOS does not support setting NVRAM to defaults, a warning message is displayed instead of an error message. 3. Corrected issue when omitting file name in file/open dialog box. B. DEPENDENCIES 1. Requires the BIOS FLASH services Ver 0.20. 2. Executes under the EFI Shell Ver 0.99 or greater. 3. Boot to the EFI shell. 2. Copy IFlash64.EFI, IFlash64.hlp, and BIOS binary file (also referred as volume file) to diskette or HD. 3. Command line Interface IFlash64 [File Name] [Options] a. To view the command-line help IFlash64 /h b. To update System BIOS from the command line interface: IFlash64 [File Name] /update c. To verify System BIOS from the command line interface: IFlash64 [File Name] /verify 4. GUI Interface IFlash64 or IFlash64 [File Name] Use the arrow keys to browse through the menu and press the <Enter> key to select. A brief description of the selected menu item is displayed in the Tip-View window, which is displayed at the bottom of the screen. a. To update the System BIOS, from the "BIOS" pull-down menu select "Update System BIOS". b. To verify the System BIOS, from the "BIOS" pull-down menu select "Verify System BIOS". This utility provides a help file (iflash64.hlp) with details on how to use this utility and it is accessed from the "Help"/"General Help" menu. 5. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
