software on the CD shipped with your product or you can download
the latest version from <http://www.adobe.com>.

Installation Procedure
======================
Please refer to the User's Guide for instructions on how to install
the VideOh! DVD AVC-2210.

Video Editing Tips
==================
Use Sonic MyDVD to capture your videos onto your hard drive, trim
your videos, and create VCDs and DVDs. Use ArcSoft ShowBiz to do
advanced editing of your videos and add effects like transitions,
titles, and music.

Known Issues
============

Installation
------------
- Uninstalling MyDVD will not uninstall ArcSoft ShowBiz. You must uninstall
  ArcSoft ShowBiz separately, using Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

- Windows Me users only - If ArcSoft ShowBiz does not install after MyDVD
  installation is completed, uninstall MyDVD and re-install MyDVD again.

Previewing and Capturing of Video
----------------------------------
- If you are using a VCR to do long-term captures and you notice that the
  audio and video are out of sync, Adaptec recommends that you do multiple
  smaller captures instead of one large one.

- Some systems may have problems previewing audio and video in the Capture
  window and the preview may appear choppy or you might hear a little
  "popping" sound. However, the recorded file, DVD, or VCD will not have
  this issue. Updating the video and/or audio drivers for your video card
  and/or audio card might correct this issue. Check the manufacturer's Web
  site for driver updates for your video and/or audio card.

- Windows 98SE users only - You might get the following error, "MYDVD caused
  an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff9db61.", when you
  quit the MyDVD application after doing a capture. There will be no problem
  with your project.

- Windows 98SE, Windows Me, and Windows 2000 users only - If you are doing a
  "video only" capture with MyDVD, the video might show some blocky images
  (block artifacts).

Editing Video and Burning of Media
----------------------------------
- When a clip is edited in ShowBiz and is brought into MyDVD, both ShowBiz
  and MyDVD will be minimized and will appear in the Taskbar as icons. To
  maximize the MyDVD window, click on the MyDVD Taskbar icon.

- When burning DVDs with Sonic MyDVD, some USB 2.0 DVD burners may not
  completely burn a DVD if it is connected to a USB 2.0 port on the
  motherboard. To solve this issue, try updating your system with the
  latest Microsoft USB 2.0 drivers.

- Windows 2000 and Windows XP users only - If you edit a MPEG1 file through
  ShowBiz the audio/video of the edited file may be out of sync.

Suspend and Resume
------------------
- Windows XP SP1 users only — If the AVC-2210 is connected to a USB 2.0
  port that uses Windows USB 2.0 drivers, your system may report that the
  AVC-2210 has been removed when you resume from suspend/standby/hibernate
  mode. Power off the AVC-2210, then power on again to continue. Update
  Windows XP with the latest service pack to eliminate the problem.

- Windows Me, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 users only - If the AVC-2210 is
  connected to a USB 2.0 port that uses Adaptec USB 2.0 drivers, your system
  may report that the AVC-2210 cannot be found when you resume from standby
  or hibernate mode. Power off the AVC-2210, then power on again to continue.
