This document contains two sections:

A) The upgrade procedure
B) The release history for SMC2455W

Section A: Upgrade Procedure
=========================================================================

1.  Turn on the Access Point and plug it into your network.

2.  Connect to the Web user interface by typing the AP IP Address (ex: 192.168.2.25)in your 
    browser, then click the login button (if you have not already set a password - otherwise 
    enter in the correct password).  You can also locate the AP using the DHCP log 
    in your browser or using the SMC2455W Utility.

3.  Click on the "Tools" link, then click the "Update Firmware" option. The "Update Firmware" screen will appear.

4.  Click the "Browse" button and point it to the location of the firmware file(2455W_FWv120.bin). 

5.  Next click "Upgrade" button to continue. 

6.  Your 2455W has now been successfully upgraded.

1. changed SNMP default setting to disabled.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
