1) INTRODUCTION
===============

The installation for the NDIS 3.1 driver in Windows 95 is menu driven 
through the Win95 interface.  The driver and other relevant files are 
located in the WIN95 directory. Follow the guidelines in Microsoft 
Windows 95 Help for more details to install the driver. 

2) NDIS 3.1 Driver Installation for Windows 95
==============================================


1.  Insert the driver diskette into the computer's floppy drive.

2.  Invoke Network Setup by selecting the <Start>, <Settings>, 
    <Control Panel>, <Network> icon.

3.  In the <Network> dialog box, select the <Add> button.

4.  In the <Select Network Component Type> dialog box, choose "Adapter" and
    select the <Add> button.

5.  In the <Select Network Adapters> dialog box, select <Have Disk...>.

6.  The <Install from Disk> dialog box appears. Enter path of the
    driver A:\WIN95 and select <OK>.

7.  The name of the adapter "Compex ENET32-VL Ethernet adapter" is displayed,
    select <OK>.

8.  The screen shows the installed network components. Modify the 
    configuration if necessary and then select <OK> button.

9.  The screen shows the default configuration of ENET32-VL adapter.
    Change the I/O Address and Interrupt settings from the "Properties" box to
    match the hardware settings. Then select <OK> button.

10. The Win95 driver and all other necessary files will be copied to the 
    computer.

11. The Win95 driver installation is completed. Select <Yes> when prompted
    to restart the computer.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
