Copy the packet driver EN32VLPK.COM from the \PKT directory in the Driver Diskette to a directory on the harddisk. 2. Load the packet driver from the DOS command prompt or from the AUTOEXEC.BAT file. The command syntax for the packet driver is: EN32VLPK [-n] [-d] [-w] <INT=packet_int_no> [IRQ=int_no] [IOADDR=io_addr] where: <INT=packet_int_no> - Software interrupt used to communicate with the packet driver and must be included in the command line. The valid range is from 0x60 to 0x80. The most commonly used number is 0x60. Note that the PC/TCP kernel, by default, is loaded at interrupt 0x61. So it is not recommended to use 0x61 for the packet driver. [IRQ=int_no] - Hardware interrupt channel used by the ENET32-VL adapter. Supported values are 3, 5, 10 and 15. Optional and if it is not specified, the driver will auto-detect the IRQ used. [IOADDR=io_addr] - I/O address of the adapter. Optional and if it is not specified, the driver will auto-detect the I/O address used. [-n] - The [-n] option converts Ethernet type 8137 and Novell PSO-like packets. This is required if you use a standard boot ROM, and use the Packet Driver and IPX included in the Packet Driver package as the drivers loaded from the boot image file. [-d] - The -d option delays initialization. The -d option will keep the initialization code after loading. This is required for making the PROM boot work. [-w] - The -w switch is to let the packet driver run under Windows. The following command line laods the packet driver at software interrupt 0x60 and auto-detect for the I/O address and IRQ used. EN32VLPK INT=0x60 3. Network applications can now use the packet driver. One example is PC/TCP software from FTP Software Inc. The PC/TCP kernel ETHDRV.EXE has to be loaded before PC/TCP applications such as PINK.EXE, FTP.EXE or TN.EXE can run. For detailed information on PC/TCP application, please refer to the documentation in FTP's PC/TCP Network Software for DOS.Download Driver Pack
