In the NetWare v3.11 directory, run SERVER.EXE 2. At the NetWare prompt, type: : LOAD A:\NW.311\LSLENH <Enter> : LOAD A:\NW.311\EN32VL <Enter> The first line loads LSLENH.NLM which will automatically loads PATCHMAN.NLM. The second line loads EN32VL.LAN which will automatically loads MSM3X.NLM and ETHERTSM.NLM. Note that EN32VL.LAN loaded without specifying the cable type will perform an auto-detection of the cable type. The frame type is defaulted to Ethernet_802.3. Below is an example to use cable type TP and frame type Ethernet_802.2 : LOAD A:\NW.311\EN32VL TP FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 Please note that if you need to use the MONITOR.NLM module in NetWare v3.11, do use the version that is included in the driver diskette. The original version may cause the server crash when <LAN/WAN Information> option is selected. To load MONITOR.NLM, type : LOAD A:\NW.311\MONITOR 3. Bind IPX to the server driver by typing: : BIND IPX EN32VL NET=number <Enter> The NetWare v3.11 server is now properly setup. 4. The server driver may also be installed without loading it manually from the driver diskette each time the NetWare server is started. Follow the steps below. a) When the server has been setup properly from the procedures described above, login to the server from a workstation. Please refer to the documentation in \DOSODI. b) At the workstation, copy the files from \NW.311 in the driver diskette to the server directory \SYSTEM. c) At the server console, edit the AUTOEXEC.NCF by typing: : LOAD INSTALL <Enter> Select "System Option" and "Edit AUTOEXEC.NCF file". Add these lines. LOAD LSLENH LOAD EN32VL BIND IPX EN32VL NET=number Note that you may add additional command line options to use different frame types. The server driver will now be loaded automatically when the NetWare server is started. 2) COMMAND LINE OPTIONS ======================= Apart from the standard command line options of FRAME, etc, the server driver provides additional command line options. 1 BOARD This option selects the adapter on the system. The valid values are 1 - 99. It has to be used together with the FRAME keyword if multiple frames need to be loaded. To load multiple frames, the BOARD keyword has to be specified during the first and subsequent loading of the driver. For example, to load multiple frame types for one physical ENET32-VL adapter, the following should be entered: LOAD EN32VL FRAME=Ethernet_802.2 BOARD=1 <enter> LOAD EN32VL FRAME=Ethernet_802.3 BOARD=1 <enter> LOAD EN32VL FRAME=Ethernet_II BOARD=1 <enter> LOAD EN32VL FRAME=Ethernet_SNAP BOARD=1 <enter> The driver must then be bound to the IPX protocol for each frame type. Note: The BOARD keyword is not to be mistaken with the standard PORT keyword which selects the physical adapter on the system by specifying the I/O address. 2. TP This option is used to set the cable type to Twisted Pair without performing any auto-detection of cable type.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
