	ADI Sound Driver (Windows 98SE)

To Install audio driver:
------------------------

Note:  If the CAB Files are already copied to C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS, follow only
steps 1-3.  Otherwise, follow all the steps below:

1. From the download folder (i.e. C:\AUDIO.W98), double click
   on "Setup.exe".
2. Click on "Next".
3. Select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" and click
   "OK" to reboot the computer.
4. Click "Next" on Add New Hardware Wizard screen.
5. Select "Search for the best driver..." and click "Next".
6. Unselect any check on option boxes. Click "Next"
7. Click "Next" when Windows finds the audio device.
8. When Windows prompts for the Windows 98 CD-ROM, provide the
   path where the CAB files are located.
9. Click "Finish". Restart your computer if necessary.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
