Turn on the router and plug it into your network adapter using port 1 through 4 on the router. 2. Connect to the Web user interface by typing the Barricade's IP Address (ex: 192.168.2.1)in your browser, then type "smcadmin" and click the login button (if you have not already set a password - otherwise enter in the correct password) 3. Click on the "Tools" link, then click the "Update Firmware" option. The "Update Firmware" screen will appear. 4. Click the "Browse" button and point it to the location of the firmware file (7004VBRv2_FW102.bin). 5. Next click "Start" button and follow the prompts. You will notice the lights on the Barricade will react in a certain sequence. Wait patiently while the Barricade performs the following reboot sequence: a. The Power light will flash rapidly. b. The Link lights will come on solid. c. The Link lights will all turn off. d. The Link lights that have a cable connected to them will turn on and blink rapidly. e. The Link lights will return to normal. 6. Your 7004VWBR has now been successfully upgraded. Note: It is recommended that once you upgrade your router with this f/w you reset the unit to factory defaults. ========================================================================= Section B: Firmware History ========================================================================= Runtime code: v1.00: (Shipping version) v1.02: 11/05/2003 .Add "NO-IP.com" DDNS function .PPTP and PPPoE MTU setting range: 576-1460 .Fix the URL/Website blocking issue. There are now two sections you can configure it from. You can add it as a rule in the "parental control" page or turn it on for everyone in the "Website Blocking" page. Both of these pages can be accessed under the "Firewall" menu.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
