This is text described SCO UNIX OPENServer5 LLI driver installation for
RL100TX PCI adapter.
*************************************************************
*** NOTE:- LLI specification cannot remove the driver with netconfig
alone in SCO 5.
To remove the driver completely, you MUST run netconfig
and custom to remove the driver.
e.g. Suppose run netconfig for 2 boards and later decide to remove
away one board.
You will first have to remove both boards with netconfig and
custom. Then relink and reboot.
Run custom again to install the driver. Then run netconfig to
install and configure for one board, relink and reboot.

³ Preparing the driver disk ³

1) From MS-DOS prompt, run RX106A.EXE to a blank diskette to extract
the driver.
When completed, do a DIR, you should have the following in drive A,
A:\__
|_SCO
| |__custom.dst <-- SCO5 LLI driver
|
|_sco5lli.txt <-- this file
2) Label disk as, RL100TX PCI SCO UNIX LLI driver
version 1.06a

³ Installing the driver in SCO OpenServer5 with custom and netconfig ³

1) Login as root user from maintenance mode
2) Insert the driver disk in drive A
3) Execute "custom"
A menu selection screen will be popped up.
Using [->] key to move cursor to "Software" menu item then
press [] key to get into pull down menu then move to
"Install New..." then press [ENTER] key

Now that the driver is installed in the system successfully.
4) Execute "netconfig" to configure the driver
A menu selection screen will be popped up.
At "Hardware" menu item press [] key to get into pull down menu then
move to "Add new LAN adapter" then press [ENTER] key
A list adapters will be display.
From the list, for the first card, chose;
"RL100TX PCI Fast Ethernet LLI driver, board 0"

Select [YES] to relink the kernel.
When relinking of the kernel is completed, it will prompt,

5) Shutdown and reboot the server, execute;
# shutdown -y -g0
6) On rebooting, RL100TX PCI Fast Ethernet adapter will be initialized.
Now press Control-D to startup the network.
7) RL100TX PCI Fast Ethernet adapter is now ready to service the network.

³ To install multiple adapters ³
ÀÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÙ
A maximum of 4 adapters are supported by the driver.
If you have installed more than one RL100TX-PCI adapters, from netconfig
(see step 4 above) select "Add New Adapter" for each adapters you have
installed.
Enter a new IP address for each adapter. Consult your administrator for the
proper IP, Broadcast, and Subnet Mask addresses.
Reboot after relinking.
Each adapter configured will be displayed on the screen during rebooting.
Refer to SCO OpenServer5 manuals for more detailed installation procedures.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
