1. This MSI Driver Disk labeled as "Promise 376/378 Driver" 
   do not provide Promise PDC20376 Windows Server 2003 Driver
                          PDC20378 Windows Server 2003 RAID/Ultra Driver

2. Please perpare one formatted 1.44M Floppy to make Windows Server 2003 Driver Disk

3. Insert MSI Driver CD to your computer
   Copy CDROM:\IDE\Promise\S-ATA\PDC20378\Driver\Win2003\ folder 
              \IDE\Promise\S-ATA\PDC20378\Driver\fasttx2k file 
              \IDE\Promise\S-ATA\PDC20378\Driver\ULSATA file
              \IDE\Promise\S-ATA\PDC20378\Driver\txtsetup.oem file to your floppy disk

4. If you want to install Promise PDC20376 and PDC20378 RAID Driver when install Windows Server 2003
   Please press F6 when install Windows Server 2003
   Then insert the Driver Disk and select
 
       "Win SERVER 2003 Promise FastTrak 376/378 (tm) Controller"

   to install Promise PDC20376 and PDC20378 RAID Driver


   If you want to install Promise PDC20378 Ultra Driver before install Windows Server 2003
   Please press F6 when install Windows Server 2003
   Then insert the Driver Disk and select 

       "Win SERVER 2003 SATA378 (tm) Controller"

   to install Promise PDC20378 Ultra Driver

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
