   Windows 95 OSR2 (OEM Service Release 2)

   Introduction:
   -------------
   This document describes the procedure to install  Windows 95 OSR2
   (OEM Service Release 2) driver for CNet PowerNIC 650Eplus PNP Ethernet Adapter.

   Location of Driver:     \WIN95_98\CN650EP.SYS   NDIS 3 Mini-Port DRIVER

   Installing driver procedure on Microsoft Windows 95 OSR2:
   -----------------------------------------------------
      Executing Windows 95 OSR2, it will auto-detect your system
      configuration then find the adapter hardware .

      1. When Win95 OSR2 finds the CNet PowerNIC 650Eplus adapter,it will show a dialog box
         of "Update Device Driver Wizard".The message of "The wizard will
         complete the installation of: NE2000 Compatible" will be shown,
         then select "Next".

      2. There will show a message of "Windows foun the following updated
         driver for the device: NE2000 Compatible".

         To have the resource's conflict-free feature,you should install the
         driver from the distribution disk instead of the systems's NE2000
         driver.

         Insert the CNet driver diskette into drive A and select
         "Other Locations".

      3. Specify the driver pathname "A:\WIN95_98" in the dialog box of
         "Select Other Location".

      4. There will show a message of "Windows found the following updated
         driver for this device:  CNet PowerNIC 650Eplus PNP Ethernet Adapter." and
         "Location of Driver : WIN95_98" in the dialog box of "Update Device
         Driver Wizard".Select "Finish".

      5. Windows 95 OSR2 will appear a message for you to specify the path of
         the source drivers and insert Windows 95 OSR2 system disk to
         complete setup steps.

      6. Windows 95 OSR2 will finish the other installation procedure
         automatically, then you restart the system.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
