The WINNT driver files are in the \WINNT subdirectory of this diskette.

 Driver Installation for Windows NT 3.51
=========================================

 1. Start Windows NT. From the Main Window, double click on the Control Panel.
    In the Control Panel window, double-click on the Network icon. The "Network
    Settings" window will appear.

 2. In Network Settings, double-click on "Add Adapter".

 3. To add the PRO110(B), choose the item "<Other> Requires disk from
    manufacturer" from Network Adapter list. Then click Continue.

 4. Input the drive and path for this diskette's Win NT driver files, e.g.
       A:\WINNT
    Select the message "PRO110(B) PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" and click
    on "OK". The files will automatically be copied to the hard disk.

 5. In the "Select OEM Option" window, click on OK.

 6. A dialog box for cable selection will appear. The default value is
    "AutoSense". You may select its settings to force the adapter
    to work in specified speed and mode.
    a) If the PRO110(B) will be attached to an Auto-Negotiation or
       Half-Duplex network device, "AutoSense" is the correct setting and
       the default does not need changing. The driver will then
       automatically set a correct line speed and opearting mode to
       communicate with the attached device.
    b) If users want to force PRO110(B) to a Full-Duplex device, then
       they must choose "100 Mbps Full_Duplex" or "10 Mbps Full_Duplex"
       depending on the speed of the attached device.
  Refer to the User's Manual or README.1ST file, section "Auto-Negotiation
  with the Attached Device" for more details on Full-Duplex connections.

 7. Return to the Network Settings window and click on the Binding button.
    Then click OK.

 8. Complete other installation steps: For example, type IP address
    to install TCPIP protocols.

 9. Reboot.

 Driver Installation for Windows NT 4.0
=========================================

 1. Start Windows NT. From the "My Computer" Window, double-click on the
    Control Panel. In the Control Panel window, double-click on the Network
    icon and then click "Adapters".

 2. In "Adapters" click on "Add...", and then click "Have Disk...".

 3. Input the drive and path for this diskette's Win NT driver files, e.g.
       A:\WINNT
    After pressing the OK button, select the message "PRO110(B) PCI Fast
    Ethernet Adapter" in the "Select OEM Option" window. Click on "OK".

 4. A dialog box for cable selection will appear. The default value is
    "AutoSense". Click on down arrow to change the setting.
    a) If the PRO110(B) will be attached to an Auto-Negotiation or
       Half-Duplex network device, "AutoSense" is the correct setting and
       the default does not need changing. The driver will then
       automatically set a correct line speed and opearting mode to
       communicate with the attached device.
    b) If users want to force PRO110(B) to a Full-Duplex device, then

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
