README.TXT This file README.COM Self-reading version of this file INSTINFO.BAT Batch file for automatically creating installation diskette ============================================================================= CREATE THE INSTALLATION DISKETTE The WinZip self-extractor will take you through the process of creating the installation diskette. If for some reason you cannot use the WinZip self-extractor (EQ5XV103.EXE) under Windows (95, 3.x, NT, or Win-OS2), please follow the instructions for manually creating the installation diskette here. This archive includes a self-extracting diskette image of the bootable BIOS update diskette. The image file is named BIOSDISK.EXE. To create the BIOS update diskette, type the following command at the command prompt: BIOSDISK A: This requires a formatted 1.44MB 3.5" diskette, and assumes that the 3.5" diskette drive is on A:. If your 3.5" diskette drive is other than A:, substitute the desired drive letter in place of "A" above. ============================================================================= EQUIUM 5160D, 5200D BIOS UPDATE PROCEDURE 1. Turn the system OFF 2. Insert the bootable BIOS Update diskette in the floppy drive and power the unit back on. 3. Press ENTER when " Flash Memory Update Utility " screen is displayed. 4. Select (Highlight using the down arrow key) " Update FLASH Memory Area from a File " and press ENTER. 5. At the next menu " Update System BIOS " is highlighted. Press ENTER to select. 6. When the next menu asks you to ENTER a path/file name, use the down arrow key once to select 1003DK08.BIO and press ENTER. 7. The utility asks for confirmation that you want to load the file into Flash Memory. Press ENTER where " Continue with programming " is highlighted. 8. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
