You will get the window "New Hardware Found" with the signature "PCI Multimedia Video Device". 3 - Choose the option "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer". 4 - Click OK. 5 - A new window "Install from Disk" will display. Insert the REALmagic Hollywood diskette 1 in your floppy drive. Make sure the text box points to the correct drive ( e.g. A:\). Click OK. 6 - Insert diskette 2 and run SETUP. This will copy all the applications to the C:\REALMAGC directory and create the REALmagic Hollywood group containing "DVD Station", "REALmagic Configuration" and "Uninstall". II - BORDER ADJUSTMENT AND COLOR CALIBRATION ======================================= NOTE : You must set the Border Adjustment and Color Calibration settings to complete the installation. You need to set the Border Adjustment only once for each display setting (resolution, number of colors, and refresh rate). 1 - Start Border Adjust from the REALmagic Hollywood group. 2 - Click on Adjust Border and use the proper buttons to adjust the black rectangle in the magenta box. When done click OK. 3 - Click on "Automatic Calibration". The screen will flash for a moment after displaying the proper message and then displays a message that the calibration is complete. Note 1: In the rare cases where this calibration is unsuccessful, you can click on Advanced..., then the Manual Calibration to set the board. This will involve fixing the R, G, B sliders as shown in the window four times. Note 2: You can also use the Advanced option to make more adjustments for the borders including jittering, stability, and horizontal frequency and to specify a different chromakey color and its calibration in Color Adjustments. 4 - Adjust the volume and balance of the MPEG audio to your preference as well as the B, S, C video levels for Brightness, Saturation, and Contrast of the video. Click OK. III - HINTS FOR HIGHER PERFORMANCE PLAYBACK ======================================= 1 - For DVD-ROMs that require high data transfer rates, it is better to have the DVD-ROM drive connected to an IDE controller with the "Bus Master" mode activated. If you are using Rel OSR2 of Win 95, check on the DMA feature of your DVD-ROM drive. This can be found in the Device Manager by double-clicking the entry for the DVD-ROM drive, clicking the tab Settings, and checking 'On' the DMA feature. 2 - Playing long DVD movies, above 4 GB in size, is supported by the Microsoft CDFS.VXD of Win 95 Rel OSR2. 3 - If you hear regular audio breakup in the playback and you are using a sound card based on an ESS chip, please download the latest drivers for your specific card from the ESS website. More sound cards compatibility issues could be followed up on Sigma Designs' web page at www.SigmaDesigns.com. IV - DVD STATION =========== DVD Station is the DVD Player for DVD-Videos, DVD-ROM's, Audio CD's, Video CD's and MPEG files. Press the F1 key to view its extensive help feature. NOTE : Clicking on the "More Controls" button will display four sliders for the Gamma Correction (on VGA), Brightness, Contrast, and Color Saturation. It also reveals the buttons for Segment Play A>B and Slow Motion. V - GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS ======================= 1 - MCI Support : A standard MCI driver is supplied. Interactive Multimedia titles can use the MCI interface to display high quality MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video. 2 - File Format Support : MPEG-1 Video Streams MPEG-1 Audio Streams MPEG-1 System Streams MPEG-2 Video Streams MPEG-2 Audio Streams AC3 Audio Streams MPEG-2 Program Streams Video CD 1.x Video CD 2.0 - Interactive features supported through DVD Station. DVD-Video 3 - DVD Support : Full Navigation (DVD-Video compliant) Sub-picture Sub-titles Alternate languages Multiple camera angles Parental Control Multiple audio streams AC-3 audio PCM audio (48kHz, 96kHz, 16-bit, 20-bit, and 24-bit) Seamless switching between audio streams Seamless switching between sub picture streams Seamless switching between angles Menus & Buttons Fast Forward, Slow Motion, Fast Backward Time Search Block repeat A>B Encrypted movies VI - MISCELLANEOUS ============= 1 - Capturing of an MPEG frame from an encrypted DVD movie is not supported. In other cases the capture feature gives its best results at a color depth of 64K (16 bits) or higher. 2 - The Hollywood board does not support the interlaced display mode. 3 - There is no "Auto Repeat" support for DVD movies. 4 - Playing VOB files using the Media Player might not show the best performance because of different navigation schemes. Use the DVD Station for this. 5 - Playing DVD games that play sound files (PCM .WAV files) simultaneously with MPEG files will not be fully successful because of the sharing of the same sound card for both. The playback will toggle between the MPEG video and the WAV files or the full MPEG and no WAV file depending on which starts first, the WAV or the MPEG respectively. 6 - The maximum refresh rates allowed with the Hollywood MPEG playback depend partially on the display board. However the following can be used as a guideline : 640 x 480 120 Hz 800 x 600 120 Hz 1024 x 768 85 Hz 1152 x 864 75 Hz 1280 x 1024 60 Hz (75 with some boards) 1600 x 1200 60 Hz ====================================================================== END OF FILEDownload Driver Pack
