Getting Started
---------------
The following example illustrates the installation of the adapter
card.
Installation Procedure
----------------------
1. The Windows NT 4.0 CD-ROM or diskettes are needed for the following
procedure.
2. Insert the network adapter into your computer and power up your
Windows NT 4.0 system normally.
3. After the system boots up properly,In the Control Panel window,
double-click on the "Networks" icon.
4. Select the "Adapters" menu tab. Click on the "Add" button.
5. Click on "Have disk".
6. Insert the Installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
Type "D:\Winnt40" if the drive letter for the CD-ROM is D, then
Click " OK".
7. Select the "U.S. Robotics 10/100 PCI NIC TX", then Click OK.
8. Windows NT will copy the driver files from the driver disk. When the Speed/Duplex mode window appears, select (1) Auto and click OK.
When the Input Network Address window appears, click Skip.
When the Input Tx Early Threshold window appears, click Skip and then
click Close.
Caution: Unless necessary, do not modify the "Network Address" field.
The driver will use the default unique Ethernet address contained in
the serial ROM on the adapter.
Remove the Installation CD-ROM from your CD-ROM drive.
9. Then Windows NT will show Microsoft TCP/IP Properties Windows , you
can choose "Obtain an IP address from a DHCP server" or "Specify an IP
Address"
10. After completing the file copy process, Windows NT will prompt you for
reboot the PC. Click on YES to restart the system.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
