The drivers contained in the directory \WINNT are for the following Micronet
Ethernet adapter:

		    SP2500K 10/100M PCI Ethernet Adapter

They are used with Microsoft Windows NT Release 3.5, 3.51 or 4.0 on the X86
platform.  The driver named ETHPCI conforms to the Network Driver Interface
Specification (NDIS) 3.0.

Installing driver on Microsoft Windows NT
-----------------------------------------

   1)  Choose the Control Panel icon.

   2)  In the Control Panel window, choose the Network icon.

   3)  In the Network Settings dialog box, choose the Add Adapter button.
       Then the Add Network Adapter dialog box appears.

   4)  In the list of network cards, select "<other> Requires disk from
       manufacturer", and then press <Enter>.

   5)  Insert this driver disk in the floppy diskette drive (A:\), type in
       the correct drive path (A:\winnt\...), and then click <OK>.

   6)  In the Select OEM Option dialog box, you will see the following
       products in the menu list. Select the SP2500K 10/100M PCI Ethernet Adapter
       and click <OK> button to install it.

   7)  When the SP2500K 10/100M PCI Ethernet Adapter Setup dialog box appears,
       specify the "Connection Type" of the adapter plugged in your PC.
       The SETUP program does not support adapter detection. Make sure these settings match
       your adapter's configurations.  Otherwise network function can not
       be activated.



       The connection types for SP2500K 10/100M PCI Ethernet Adapter are:

	AutoSense           Performs automatic media detection during driver initialization

	Twisted Pair        RJ-45 connector
	(10BASE-T)          Line speed: 10 Megabits per second (Mbps)

	Twisted Pair        RJ-45 connector
	(10BASE-T)          Communication in full-duplex mode,
	Full_Duplex         Line speed: 20Mbps

	Twisted Pair        RJ-45 connector
	(100BASE-TX)        Line speed: 100 Mbps

	Twisted Pair        RJ-45 connector
	(100BASE-TX)        Communication in full-duplex mode,
	Full_Duplex         Line speed: 200Mbps


   8) After successful installation, the "Installed Adapter Cards" menu shows you,
      "SP2500K 10/100M PCI Ethernet Adapter Fast Ethernet Adapter" and "SP2500K PCI
      Fast Ethernet Adapter Driver" appears in the "Installed Network Software" menu.

   9) Now, the SETUP program has already copied the ETHPCI.SY_ and the OEMSETUP.INF from
      the Driver Diskette (A:\) to C:\<NT system directory>\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS and
      C:\<NT system directory>\SYSTEM32 respectively. If you need to re-install the driver,
      you do not need to install from the driver diskette.

  10) Click on the "Bindings" option under Network Setting dialog box to bind the adapter
      to the transport drivers.

  11) Restart your system.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
