               Software Usage Agreement (Please read!)

This Agreement constitutes a formal agreement executed between you and
Canon Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Canon") governing usage of the
"Viewer for PC Ver.3.6", "VB Administration Tools Ver.2.2" and 
"VBCollector Ver.3.0" software programs (hereinafter referred to as 
"this Software"). 

By clicking on "Yes" that is displayed together with this Software Usage 
Agreement upon downloading or installing this Software, it shall be 
construed that you consent to this Agreement; 
and Canon shall thus grant you nontransferable, free-of-charge and 
nonexclusive rights to use this Software in accordance with the terms 
and conditions described below. Canon reserves all rights to this 
Software and its duplications.

Articles

Article 1.      Granting of Usage Rights

1-1.   You are allowed to use "VB Administration Tools" and "VBCollector" 
respectively on only one computer at a time.

1-2.   You are NOT allowed to let any third party use or apply this
Software in any way, including reuse, transfer, distribution or loan 
of this Software.

1-3.   You shall not duplicate, modify, alter, reverse engineer, 
reverse compile and/or assemble this Software, nor let any third party 
do the same.

Article 2.      Exemption from Responsibility

2-1.     It is explicitly agreed that regarding this Software, Canon 
makes no guarantees in terms of adaptability and/or marketability for 
any and all your specific intended uses. In addition, in no event 
shall Canon be held responsible for, whether direct or indirect, any 
and all losses, damage or whatsoever may be incurred incidental upon, 
or in connection with, the use of this Software.

2-2. Furthermore, Canon shall NOT be held responsible for any and all
disputes that may arise between you and any third party from, or in
connection with, the use of this Software.

Article 3.      Rights Restricted by the U.S. Government

3-1. This Software is provided with restricted rights. Use, duplication
and/or disclosure by the United States Government is subject to such
restrictions as set forth either in subparagraph (c)(1) (ii) of "The 
Rights concerning Technical Data and Computer Software Provisions" of 
DFARS, paragraph No. 252.227-7013, or in subparagraph (c)(1) and (2) 
of "The Commercial Computer Software - Restricted Rights" of CFR 
No. 48, paragraph No. 52.227-19, as applicable. The manufacturer of 
this software is Canon Inc. with its principle place of business at 
30-2, Shimomaruko 3-chome, Ohta-ku, Tokyo 146, Japan.

Article 4.      Others

4-1. If you use an upgrade of this Software, Canon's consent must be
obtained separately.

Article 5.      Period of Agreement

5-1. This Agreement shall be effective as soon as you click on "Yes" 
that is displayed together with this Software Usage Agreement upon 
downloading or installing this Software.

5-2. Canon shall be permitted to terminate this Agreement immediately 
if any of the provisions stipulated herein are breached.

5-3. You may terminate this Agreement by disposing of or deleting this 
Software.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
