Outline:  This product contains a module to correct MultiPASS Suite v4.3 for the MultiPASS
                 F20.

Modifications made:
After connecting to an Internet service provider through a dial-up connection, IP addresses 
of a network adapter are changed from initial ones obtained upon startup of a PC. Consequently,
 when you try to perform a print or scanning operation, 'Unable to communicate with the device.
 Please start "MP Service" from the Services applet in the control panel' appears, and the 
operation fails. This fault is corrected.

Installation Procedure:
1. Verify that Canon MultiPASS Suite v4.3 has been installed to Windows XP Home Edition
    /Professional.
2. Double-click mp430XPUpdate.exe, then the installation of the modification module starts.
3. When the installation is complete, 'Update complete successfully!! You MUST Restart
     Windows now' appears. Press 'Yes' to restart the PC.

In the environment in which this product fails to update the system, 'There is no need to update 
this system' appears. Click 'OK' to cancel the installation.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
