If you change any of the settings, some of the functions may become disabled and you will not be able to use them. < Using the Printer Driver > When printing something with this printer driver, restrictions on what you can do sometimes apply. Keep the following points in mind when printing: - With certain applications, the paper feed method that was set with the printer driver may not operate properly. In that case, set the paper feed method with the Page Setup or other appropriate function of the application software. - With certain applications, the [Copies] setting is non-effective when setting is attempted from the printer driver. In that case, specify the setting in the applications' [Print] dialog box. - If the selected [Language] in the [About] dialog box does not match the operating system interface language, the driver screen may not be displayed properly. - Do not change the [Advanced] tab items of the printer properties. If you change any of the items, you will not be able use the following functions correctly. Also, if [Output to File] is selected in the [Print] dialog box of the application software and with applications that prohibit EMF spooling, such as Adobe PhotoShop LE and MS Photo Editor, the following functions will not operate. - [Preview before printing] on the [Main] tab - [Reduce spool data size] in the [Print Options] dialog box - [Page Layout Printing], [Poster Printing], [Booklet Printing], [Duplex Printing] (manually), [Print from Last Page], and [Collate] on the [Page Setup] tab - Since the resolution in the preview display differs from the printing resolution, text and lines in the preview display may appear different from the actual print result. - In some applications, the printing is divided into multiple jobs. To prohibit printing, delete all divided jobs. - For details on functions related to Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, see the corresponding user's manual. < Using the IrDA interface and the Bluetooth option > Some printer models can use the IrDA interface and the Bluetooth option. Keep the following points in mind when using these interfaces: - When printing via the IrDA interface, functions that rely on bi-directional communication do not work. Thus any message related to these functions, for example "Paper Out", will not be shown in the IJ Status Monitor. - When using the Bluetooth option, keep the following points in mind. - If you perform one of the actions listed below, the print job may not end and "Printing" may remain displayed on the status monitor even after printing ends and the printout is ejected. If this happens, either click the [Cancel Printing] button on the Status Monitor or cancel that print job from the print job queue of the printer. - If you move the printer during printing to a location where radio waves cannot reach or if the radio wave status becomes poor - If you turn off the printer - If you cancel printing after a printer error occurs, you may not be able to execute subsequent printing operations. If this happens, turn off the printer and turn it back on again. - With some printer models, you cannot use the operation panel on the printer while the status monitor is displayed from [View Printer Status...] on the [Maintenance] tab.Download Driver Pack
