Operation Environment ---------------------------------------- Software: Microsoft Windows Vista, English edition Microsoft Windows Server 2003, English edition Microsoft Windows XP Professional / Home Edition, English edition Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional /Server , English edition Cautions, Limitations and Restrictions------------------------ Always observe the following precautions before and while using the printer connected via an IEEE 1394 cable. - Connect only one computer to the printer. If more than one device is connected with IEEE1394 cable, printing may halt before the job ends, or the printer may not operate correctly. - Do not reset the printer during printing. Resetting the printer during printing may cause the system to become unstable. - For Windows XP, when the Safely Remove Hardware icon is displayed in the task tray, it is recommended that you remove hardware using the icon in the task tray before disconnecting the IEEE 1394 cable. Disconnecting the IEEE 1394 cable without this procedure may result in system instability. - For Windows XP, when the Safely Remove Hardware icon is displayed in the task tray, it is recommended that you remove hardware using the task tray before turning off power to the printer when still connected to the IEEE 1394 port. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
