Release Notes


1.) If the user tries to invoke the Install Program  by clicking the CD or Setup.exe multiple times, the error "ikernal.exe" appears.  If the user click's OK the install will continue normally.

2.) If the DialUp Network has not been configured, prior to installation of the modem, the install program will be unable to create the DialUp Networking profile required to make a connection.  Please refer to the Online Guide on how to manually create the DialUp Networking Connection.		

3.) After changing the VC Settings for the Modem by using the advanced driver properties screen, a re-start of the PC is required in order for the Modem to function Properly.

4.) If the Control Center application is running while the user changes VC Settings or Disable/Enable the modem, the USB modem will not be able to re - initialize.  Please restart your PC.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
