The Ethernet PC card has been designed to be totally compatible with a
conventional NE2000 Ethernet board. To use it with Novell Netware and
an IPX driver, follow the instructions in your Novell manual, using the
Novell supplied NE2000 driver.

When you have done this, you may need to enable the PCMCIA port and the
Ethernet PC card. If your portable does not automatically detect and
enable PCMCIA cards, copy ECARD.EXE to your hard disk or network boot
diskette and type ECARD before running IPX.COM.

                         ***********************

Alternatively, you can use the drivers which are supplied on this disk. To
do this, follow the instructions below:

1. Copy the file NE2IPX.COM from the \NOVELL subdirectory on your Drivers
Disk to the appropriate subdirectory on your hard disk or network boot
    diskette.

2. If your portable does not automatically detect and enable PCMCIA cards,
copy ECARD.EXE to your hard disk or network boot diskette and type ECARD.

3. To start the workstation, run NE2IPX.

4. Run NETX.

5. Change to the network driver (Usually F:\LOGIN>).

6. Log in to the network.

                   ********************************

Grey Cell's preconfigured driver NE2IPX.COM was generated with the latest
Novell code. If you need to build your own IPX.COM, you must run
SHGEN or WSGEN procedures described below.

1. Using the DOS LABEL command, label a blank formatted diskette as
    follows:-

    Type: LABEL
    Then enter: LAN_DRV_GCS

2. Copy the NE2IPX.OBJ and NE2IPX.LAN files from the \NOVELL subdirectory
    onto your LAN_DRV_GCS diskette.

3. Run SHGEN or WSGEN using the instruction in your NetWare Installation
manual. Choose the Grey Cell Ethernet Card GCS2000 option.

4. Select the hardware options that matches the setting on the card.

                    ********************************

Note: If you are using an extended memory manager and the ECARD enabler,
you may need to explicitly exclude memory area D800-D8FF, or
other 4 Kbyte memory space defined by the /MEM parameter.
