        Instructions for DOS, Windows 3.x and Windows 95

DOS
---
1. Copy the COUNTRYD.EXE from the MODEM Directory on the Drivers Disk
   into a Directory on your hard disk.

2. Run the COUNTRYD.EXE from the DOS command line.  You will be offered
   a list of countries.  Select the country you require from this list.

3. If you know the country you require you can type
    COUNTRYD.EXE /UK    for example, to set the modem for the UK.

4. Type COUNTRYD.EXE /? for the full list of countries and options.


Windows 3.x

1. Copy the COUNTRYW.EXE and COUNTRYW.HLP files from the MODEM Directory 
   on the Drivers Disk into the Windows Directory.

2. To create an Icon enter the Program Group in which you wish it to appear
   eg Accessories.  Click on FILE, NEW & PROGRAM ITEM.
   Type in the Name 'Country Selector'; the path is COUNTRYW.EXE 
   and the Working Directory is C:\WINDOWS.
   Click on Change Icon to select which Icon you Prefer.

3. To see which country the modem is set to, look at the bottom of the box.
   To change the country, click on the flag required or use the Country
   Option from the menu.

Windows 95

Please note: 

It is only possible to change the Country Code before you dial out under
Windows 95.

1. Copy the COUNTRYW.EXE file from the MODEM Directory on the Drivers Disk
   into the Windows Directory.

2. To create a Shortcut, Click on the right mouse button and Select, New,
   Shortcut.  Command Line is COUNTRYW.EXE and Name is 'Country Selector'
   Then choose the ICON required.

3. To see which Country the Modem is set to, look at the bottom of the box.
   To change the Country, click on the flag required or use the Country
   Option from the menu.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
