Installation Procedures:

(1)  Make sure your 3400 Series Card has been enabled either by
     CARD2CS.EXE for PCMCIA card and socket services, or by
     CARD2.EXE for DOS with no card and socket services.

(2)  Reboot the PC with the 3400 series Card in the PCMCIA slot

(3)  Start Microsoft Windows

(4)  Select "Network Setup" from Program Group "Network"

(5)  Select "Drivers..."

(6)  Select "Add Adapter..."

(7)  Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter"

(8)  Type in the path name A:\WFW311 and insert 3400 Series Installation
     Disk into drive A:

(9)  Setup the correct interrupt (IRQ) number and base I/O port address,
     this should match CARD2 or CARD2CS parameters.
     The translation table for COM port to interrupt number is listed below:
	 COM2 -> IRQ 3
	 COM3 -> IRQ 4
	 COM4 -> IRQ 3

     When you OK this setting you will probably get a warning dialog box
     saying that Interrupt x is associated with COMy. etc.
     Finally you are asked "Do you wish to select a different setting?"
     Select NO.

(10) Setup the correct networking support for Windows and file/printer
     sharing options

(11) Restart the PC

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
