MT3400ZLX driver disk, version 1.0 contains the
3400ZLX.INF Windows 95 info file, as well as the Lucent
flash utility for loading new firmware in the modem.

Instructions for installing MT3400ZLX in Windows 95:

1. Insert the MT3400ZLX into the PCMCIA slot
2. Windows 95 will detect the new hardware and launch
    the modem installation wizard.
3. Insert the driver disk in the disk drive, then click
    "next".
4. Windows 95 will look to drive A and detect the INF
file for the MT3400ZLX (if your drive is other than
drive A, you will have to use "browse" to find the
3400ZLX.INF file on that floppy disk drive.)
5. Click "finish" and the modem is now installed.

Instructions for upgrading the modem with flash firmware:

***** This utility will only work in Windows 95. Also,
the MT3400ZLX must be installed and operational for
the flash utility to find it *****

***** Important Note: All modems are shipped from us
with current firmware. Upgrade your modem only if
you are sure the firmware you want to load is a
newer version!!! If there is any doubt, call
Technical Support. The phone number is listed
      below.

1. The firmware file to be programmed into the modem
must be named modem.hex. You will have to rename the
firmware file if it has a different name.
2. Go into Hyperterminal and send command ATI to the
modem. Write down the version number that is listed.
3. Exit Hyperterminal, then run flash.exe through
Windows Explorer or drag and drop the icon to your
    desktop and double-click on it.
4. Select the file modem.hex when the program asks
which file to program into the modem.
5. At this point, the utility will go out, find the
modem, erase the current firmware in the modem, then
install the firmware contained in the modem.hex file.
6. Again send the command ATI via Hyperterminal to
verify that the new version of firmware is installed
    in the modem.

*** The current firmware as of 8-6-97 is version 1.03A.
