ITU V.90 Standard Upgrades for Shark Multimedia Inc. K56flex Modems

Before you upgrade
Make sure your Internet Service Provider (ISP) has upgraded their servers to V.90 before you upgrade your modem. If your ISP has not upgraded their servers to V.90, do not upgrade your modem. Your K56flex modem only has enough memory to support one protocol at a time - either K56flex or V.90. If you upgrade before your ISP does, you will be limited to modem speeds of 33.6Kbps and below. If this happens, reflash your modem to a previous version of firmware per the instructions for your operating system.

How to Upgrade Your Modem to V.90

Step 1- Read "Before you upgrade" above. Make sure your Internet Service Provider (ISP) has upgraded their servers to V.90 before you upgrade your modem.

Step 2- Download the V90 flash file by clicking the V.90 upgrade file which corresponds to your modem. (If you don't know which modem you have, please click "I have a Modem ?")

Step 3- When the file has finished downloading, please disconnect from the internet and read the installation readme file for your operating system before you upgrade.
