Overview

This driver is for Microsoft Windows 9x, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000.  It supports all 1373 sound solution add-in cards and is integrated on the motherboards.  This driver is certified with Microsoft WHQL.


Installation

1.  Close all open windows, except this readme.txt file if instructions are needed.

2.  If you have not already done so, locate and double-click the 7510802.exe file that you downloaded from the Internet.  This file should be located on your desktop.  Files are extracted to the C:\Cabs\7510802 folder.

3.  From the Start menu, click Run.

4.  In the Run dialog box, type: C:\Cabs\7510802\Setup.exe.  Click OK.

5.  The SBSetup driver installation wizard launches.  Follow the on-screen instructions to remove and install the drivers and restart the computer when the process is finished.


Installation for Windows NT 4.0

1.  Verify that Service Pack 4 or later is installed. 

2.  Verify that you are logged on as administrator or a member of the administrator's group for this local computer.

3.  Close all open windows, except this readme.txt file if instructions are needed.

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.

3.  In the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box, select Creative PCI Audio Drivers, and then click Add/Remove.  

4.  When complete, click OK.

Removal Steps for Windows NT 4.0

Troubleshooting for Windows 9x and Windows Me

If you have no sound from your speakers, verify that you have the correct Output Mode setting.

1.  From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 

2.  In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. 

3.  In the System Properties dialog box, click the Device Manager tab. 

4.  In the Device Manager tab, double-click Sound, video and game controllers, and then double-click Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128D. 

5.  In the Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128D Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab. 

6.  On the Settings tab, in the Output Mode list, select Digital or Analog, depending on the speakers you have, and then click OK.

7.  In the System Properties dialog box, click OK.

8.  If there is still no sound, follow the removal procedure, download the drivers again, and then follow the installation instructions to reload the driver.


Troubleshooting for Windows NT 4.0

If you have no sound from your speakers, verify you that have the correct Output Mode setting.

3.  In the Multimedia Properties dialog box, click the Devices tab.

5.  In the Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.

6.  On the Settings tab, in the Output Mode list, select Digital or Analog, depending on the speakers you have, and then click OK.

7.  Close all open dialog boxes.  Restart the computer.

8.  If there is still no sound, follow the removal procedure, download the drivers again, and then follow the installation instructions to reload the driver.


Troubleshooting for Windows 2000

If you have no sound from your speakers, verify that you have the correct Output Mode setting.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
