Information about BootROM for PCnet family adapters
---------------------------------------------------

This directory has the following contents:

readme.txt - This readme file

\netrom.hex - This is the general purpose bootrom. This file is in Intel
MSC-86 hex format. This bootrom allows remote boot from a Novell
Netware server supporting RPL, Microsoft LAN Manager server, and IBM
LAN Server . This file can be burned into a PROM and the PROM can be
used to remote boot from one of the three servers listed above.
The bootrom code will give the user an option to select from the
several servers during the boot process or to boot from the first
server found on the network. If no selection made, in 10 seconds boot
process is started (for the systems without monitor
         and/or keyboard).
Bootrom supports all PCnet Family devices for all possible IOBase, IRQ
and DMA combinations (for ISA, only 4 combinations are supported, as
         for the previous versions).
Bootrom code is based on Novell LanKit 3.02 RPL code. In addition to
multi-server support, the code is modified to include PCI optional RPL
header. Plug'n Play cards are supported as a legacy RPL devices.
